Chapter 11

In the last chapter Cassie goes to meet up with TJ during his lunch break. On his lunch break Cassie explains that the other person Claudia was referring to was actually her and that she didn't have no one back home. She explained to him that Claudia thought she had actually had a crush on him and that she felt guilty for going out with him like she was. TJ was confused at first but relieved in the end. He thanked Cassie for filling him in and then dashed off to the Green Lake store so that he could call Claudia.

Chapter 10 Ending

In the second part of chapter 10 Claudia goes on her date with TJ. She wants to feel happy because she loves TJ and she just learned TJ loves her too but she feels the total opposite because she knows how her sister Cassie feels about TJ- she's in love with him too! On their date, Claudia kind of makes it noticable that she's unhappy and TJ doesn't miss it. He asks her what's the matter and the first time she brushes it off. Thinking taking a walk would make things better, TJ invites Claude to take a nice walk after dinner. On that walk, Claudia begins to cry and she ends up telling TJ certain things which leads him to belief that there is someone else back home and that she didn't want to be with him- that she couldn't be with him- solely because she didn't want to hurt the other person. After TJ starts to think that Claude has a boyfriend he tells her that he could take her home if she wanted. All she wanted to was to go home and be alone now so she agreed. When she got home she went straight to sleep. The next morning the girls' parents asked how their girls' nights went and Claudia didn't say much. She said she and TJ had dinner then he took her home quite early. Cassie told her family that she had actually had a good time with Don, the clutz. After eating breakfast Claudia goes on a walk with Cassie and tells Cassie what happened the night before. Feeling kind of guilty, Cassie immediately runs back to their cabin leaving her sister confused. She ended up going back to their summer cabin to call TJ and telling him what happened- what the real story was.

Chapter 10 Beginning

In the beginning of chapter 10 Claudia wakes up kind of tense. She's tense because she remembers the night before. What happened the night before? Well, she had went out to the meadow with TJ in his canoe and he had confessed his love for her. Doesn't seem like anything to be tense about right? Right. Except maybe the fact that Claudia's twin sister Cassie is head over heels in love with TJ also! Claudia was tense because the night before she had ended up telling Cassie what happened. She decided to go for a walk that morning and have some time to herself. She needed to think about her and TJ, about her and her sister, about everything. When she returned half an hour later she found her parents and her sister about to eat breakfast. Neither her or her sister ate that much and their parents noticed. They asked the girls what the matter was but the girls knew better than to let their parents know they were uncomfortable with each other because of some boy they had just met. Later after breakfast Claudia told her sister that TJ had invited her to dinner with him that night. Cassie then told her sister that Don had actually invited her out with Pat and her boyfriend also so it was okay that her sister go out with TJ.

Chapter 9 Ending

In the end of chapter 9 TJ takes Claudia down to the meadow in his family's canoe to watch the deers feed during the sunset. Claudia was feeling kind of bad because she was alone with TJ when she knew her sister was crazy in love with him but at the same time she liked it- she liked TJ. It was completely silent when all of a sudden TJ asked Claudia "I wonder if it's true, if two people with braces who kiss get their braces stuck together." Then soon enough TJ put his arm around her and he leaned foward for a kiss. After the kiss Claudia felt like she was in a dream. She was scared because she didn't know what she was going to tell her sister but once again, at the same time, she didn't care, she was happy. After sitting there for a little while TJ had explained to Claudia that he had been wanting to kiss her since the first day they met and it was her that he liked, not Cassie. After hearing that Claudia explained to him that she always liked him too and she liked him alot but she just always thought it was Cassie he liked seeing as how much they had in common. When the two decided it was getting late and TJ should take Claudia home, TJ asked Claudia if she would like to go out with him the next night, just him and her and Claudia said she'd love to but she just had to make sure her family wasn't doing anything together first. Before you knew it Claudia was home and had to face her sister. After trying to hide it Claudia ended up telling Cassie that TJ had kissed her. She tried her hardest to not to but her sister kept asking what happened, why she heard TJ 's voice, what they did and why her sister didn't wake her up. In the last few sentences of the chapter you can notice that Cassie was very upset at what had happened. She was the one that was in love with TJ after all, right?

Chapter 9 Beginning

In chapter 9 Claudia told her sister she should really go upstairs and lie down because of her cold. She knew her sister was tired too from playing the three set. Cassie did feel under the weather and was exhausted so she took her sister's advice and went upstairs to rest up. While Cassie was sleeping her family was downstairs watching TV when Claudia noticed something coming near their summer house's dock. She soon recognized TJ on a canoe. When TJ got off the canoe he told Claudia he was there to see how Cassie was, just wanted to check up on her. Claudia knew her sister was crazy for TJ but didn't know if she wanted to exactly wake her to let her know TJ was there. She decided to not wake Cassie. TJ soon told Claudia he also came there for ask if she and Cassie would like to go deep down in the meadows to watch the deers feed while sunset, it was supposedly very beautiful, nothing like it. Claudia felt bad for wanting to go with TJ alone but she decided to just go- without her twin sister. With her mom's permission she got into the canoe with TJ and headed down to the meadow.

Chapter 8 Ending

In the end of chapter 8 Cassie and TJ have their tennis match. When Cassie agreed to the tennis match she didn't know TJ meant with an audience. When she went to the courts with her sister and parents, Cassie was kind of nervous because she didn't know she was going to play in front of all these people she didn't know. Before the game started TJ walked up to Cassie and told her he had hurt his foot by stepping on a piece of glass so he wouldn't be able to play on it for that long. He asked her if they could just play threee sets instead of the five they had decided on and she was fine with it too, explaining she was kind of coming down with a cold. Anyway, the tennis game was coming to a close when Cassie had to decide whether to hit the last ball coming towards her and win or let it pass her and let her crush beat her. She decided to go for it but it turned out it just wasn't enough and TJ won the match.

The weather wasn't all that good and Cassie started feeling under the weather. When the family got to the tennis courts they decided to leave because the ugly weather. When Cassie and Claudia got home Cassie started talking about how she thought she looked terrible and how she might be coming down with a fever. After hearing that Cassie wasn't feeling that good and she looked terrible, Claudia kind of felt happy because then TJ wouldn't find her attractive or whatever I guess. She thought to herself for a while and then started feeling guilty for being happy about her sister being ill.

Chapter 7

In chapter 6 Claudia, Cassie, TJ and Don went to Herman's amusement park. Claudia had a big lunch that day and went on one too many rides and ended up getting sick on the whirling swings. She threw up pretty much everything she ate after getting off that ride. TJ suggested some ginger ale to calm her stomach and Cassie suggested TJ and Don take her and her sister home. TJ agreed. When TJ and Don dropped Cassie and Claudia home, TJ told Cass that he would phone later that night to make sure Claud was all right. When Claudia got home she decided to take a nap. When she woke up she went downstairs to eat dinner. When she was at the table, her mother asked her why she wasn't eating salad, or much of anything for that matter, that night. Cassie told their parents what happened to her poor sister earlier that day. After dinner the Fletcher's decided on playing a game of Parcheesy. While in the middle of their game the telephone rang. Claudia thought to herself, TJ said he would phone later tonight to see if I was all right. Could that be him? Not wanting to look desperate she told her sister, Cassie, to answer. Sure enough, Cassie was already at the phone picking up the reciever. It was TJ- making sure Claudia was all right. After a few minutes Cassie came back to her family and told them that TJ and Don were inviting Cassie and her sister to watch a movie the next night. Cassie told her sister and parents that she agreed and didn't think that it'd be a problem. She was right. Claudia was ecstatic she was going to be able to spend more time with TJ and the girl's parents thought the two boys were good, respectable and kind boys. The next night the four teenagers went to the movies. After the movie, Cassie and TJ ended up betting on who would win a game of tennis between the two of them. Not all that happy that she agreed to play in that tennis match, worried she was going to embarrass herself, she was still kind of happy that she would spend more time with TJ. Later that night when the twins got home, they got ready for bed pretty fast, they were tired from their night out. Before sleeping though, Cassie decided she should journal again. In her diary entry she wrote about how she was playing before when she said that she was falling 'in love' with TJ but how these days, she was sure she really was falling for him. She also journaled about how she thought her sister was, too!

Chapter 6

In chapter 6, Don, TJ, Cassie and Claudia have the tennis match they had planned since the 4th of July. TJ and Claudia had one the match, defeated Don and Cassie. After the four teenagers were done playing tennis they decided to go to Herman's. Herman's was the amusement park in Green Lake. But before they went to Herman's, they chose to swim first. When they were walking on the dock Claudia and TJ were talking about how TJ thinks that Don likes Cassie. After swimming came Herman's. Claudia had ended up eating too much for her own good and riding way too many rides that day. The four had already gone on a few rides but decided they wanted to go on the swings that swung around and around also. Claudia didn't think it'd be the best idea but she went anyway because the other three were cheering her on saying that she was going to be allright and it would be fun. Sure and soon enough, Claudia gets on the swing. She tries biting down on her teeth for a little while to refrain from throwing up but after a little while she couldn't do it and- she threw up! Cassie told her sister that it was going to be allright and that TJ was going to take them home. When TJ dropped Cassie and Claudia home he told Cassie that he would phone later that night to make sure that Claud was okay. Claudia went upstairs and took a nap when she got home. Before she slept though, she couldn't help but think about how TJ viewed her now. She was thinking TJ for sure got turned off by her throwing up. After a while, she decided that if throwing up in front of TJ and Don had, in fact, turned them off, that they were nothing to worry about.

Chapter 5 (part 2)

In the second part of chapter 5, TJ, Cassie and Claudia finish eating dinner. TJ takes off right away to help his father set up the fireworks for the night's finale and Cassie and Claudia are left to admire the sunset together. After sitting for a while Cassie thinks to herself a little. What she thinks is how TJ is so handsome and such fun. She then begins to think that her sister Claudia is right when she says that TJ likes Cassie. She after that, she begins wondering what it would be like to kiss TJ. Little does Cassie know, though, that her twin, Claudia is thinking about a similar subject. Claudia starts thinking about how TJ might like her, but not exactly the way that a boy likes a girl when he wants to date her. She still strongly believes TJ likes her sister Cassie- she says she can tell. However, she goes back and remembers how he troubled to find out what interests her. Maybe he does like her? In the middle of thinking, Don walks up and says hello to the Fletcher girls. Cassie and Don start to walk together to admire the fireworks that start. Claudia doesn't get too upset because she was all right with enjoying the fireworks alone. However, TJ comes up soon after Cassie and Don leave. TJ asks Claudia where Cassie went and Claudia tells him that she and Don went down near the water to enjoy the fireworks. Later that night when the party is over, Cassie decides to write a little in her diary. She waves the book in front of her sister Claudia and Claudia reads about how Cassie is supposedly 'madly in love with TJ' and how, apparently, so is she. It also said that TJ was the nicest and handsomest boy either of them has ever met. She also reads that that 4th of July was the best one ever.

Chapter 5 (part 1)

In chapter 5 the Howard's 4th of July barbeque fianlly happens. This party took place at their house and everyone was invited, pretty much everyone in Green Lake. In the beginning of the chapter you learn Cassie is nervous about looking nice for the other people at the party and that Claudia is kind of anxious. Claudia was scared because she was nervous that some people there at the barbeque wouldn't like their family. When they get to the Howard's place, Cassie and Claudia get seperated because TJ's little brother Ralph steals Cassie away to show her his bug collection. While Cassie is with Ralph, however, Claudia has alone time with TJ. During this alone time the two get to talk about Claudia's interest in dance and Claudia tries to remember that TJ likes Cassie and not her. After a little while Cassie comes along next to TJ and Claudia and then they go eat.

Chapter 4

In the beginning of chapter 4 Cassie and Claudia are just getting home from the Green Lake store where TJ Howard works. They get home and later that night they see that their parents are playing a game of checkers. Mrs. Fletcher, the twins' mother mentions that the Howards are coming the following night and the twins can't help but wonder if TJ will be coming also. Cassie and Claudia head upstairs and lay in their beds. Claudia attempts to read a book while her sister Cassie attempts to keep up with her daily diary entries. In Cassie's entry, she covers everything from the night that they arrive at Green Lake and what activities they've already done and the people they've met. She specifically talks about how Claudia thinks TJ likes Cassie herself and how she thinks that Don, TJ's friend and coworker at the Green Lake store, likes Claudia. After writing that she asks Claudia if she would like to read and she accepts. Once Claudia is done reading the two are laying in the dark when all of the sudden, Cassie shouts Thomas Jefferson. It turns out that Cassie thinks that that is TJ's real name. After discussing it for a while, the twins go to sleep. The next morning consisted of regular vacation-y stuff like sleeping in late, tanning, swimming, reading and having a good day's rest. Mr. Fletcher also ends up taking his daughters to the stables and rents three horses. When they three get back home, the girls go fro another swim and then get ready for the Howard's to come over. The twins decide to dress nice just in case TJ decides to come along. When the Howard's finally get there, Mr. and Mrs. Howard tell the girls and their parents that both their sons had other plans and could not make it. While the Howard's and Fletcher's are together they discuss the 4th of July barbeque bash.

Chapter 3

In chapter three of Love Times Two, Cassie and Claudia are finally on their way to the Green Lake store. They wanted to buy some postcards to send to their friends and their parents wanted some too. The Green Lake store is about half of a mile from the Fletcher's summer house. When the girls reached the store they looked around and noticed that the prices were through the roof just like TJ had said they would be. After looking around they began to wonder where their friend was, he was nowhere in site. While searching for TJ they came across the postcards and picked some out. There wasn't a price on the cards so they decided to ask a boy who was scanning prices on cans in one of the aisles. After approaching him, the girls learned that his name was Don. A little while after talking to Don, the girls hear a familiar voice. Soon enough, the twin girls turn around and it's TJ. TJ tells his coworker Don that the girls were invited to his family's 4th of July bash and that they were most likely to come. After buying the postcards and saying hello to TJ and meeting Don, the girls had left the store. It was when they began to walk the dusty road home when Cassie told Claudia how great it would be if TJ had liked her- like girlfriend liked her.

Poetry Project

This is a poem a teenage girl wrote about her secret crush. I decided to pick this one for my blog because it's like the secret crush that so far, only Claudia has on new neighbor TJ Howard.

I think about you day after day, sometimes, I even plan out what I will say.
You have no idea; you have no clue, just how much I think of you.
I remember the time, I remember the day, I had no idea what I was going to say.
I remember getting lost while staring into your eyes; I must have made about a million of sighs.
I hope we could be together some time in my life, and sometimes at night, I dream I’m your wife.
I love you now and always I hope you can see, that if you gave our love a chance how happy we’ll be.
I’m going to bed, please be in my dreams, because in real life you don’t know what this means.
I will never forget you no way, not now; I know we’ll be together some way and some how!

This is a poem that I wrote that relates to Love Times Two in the sense that it's about a secret crush. The only difference is that in my poem, it's a boy that secretly crushes on the girl, whereas in Love Times Two, it's the girl that likes the boy.

I see you everyday and I just can't explain
How happy you make me, my feelings I cannot tame.
A day without you is like a day without the sun,
It's just not right, I end up missing you a ton.
I love how your hair is dark and long,
And you eyes so beautiful, the color so strong.
I've never explained to you how much I really care,
how much I wanna be with you, how not being with you, I can't anymore bear.
I'm not doing this anymore, hiding all these feelings.
I wanna tell you about my strange behavior around you, all their meanings.
I have to be yours, you have to be mine.
I won't have it any other way- if so, I'd rather die.

Chapter 2

In the second chapter of Love Times Two, Cassie and Claudia go with their father, Mr. Fletcher, to go for a little swim. On the oar on their way to the little lake's island, Claudia is stuck in a day dream. She is clearly thinking about her family's new neighbor TJ Howard. She was repeating over and over again what he had said to her earlier that morning, "You looked real graceful up there," in her head of course. She wouldn't dare let her family know her complete thoughts about TJ yet. It was pretty sudden, after all. Once Mr. Fletcher and his two daughters reached the little island, they all jumped in the lake. The two girls dipped for about ten minutes then decided they wanted to tan. They climbed up onto the deck and started talking about how they wanted to tell their friends they had gotten there safely and how beautiful it was. They came to the conclusion that a cool way would be to send all their friends a postcard each. They thought about where to go and it was decided that they would go to the Green Lake store, where, coincidentally, TJ worked. After their swim, they all went back to their summer house and started unpacking. While the two were unpacking they jumped into a conversation about how close they were, yet how different they individually were. An example of that is how they tell each other everything that happens with one another, but how they looked for different things when it came to guys and romance in general. They eventually got to how it'd take way more than a summer crush to come between them, also.

Chapter 1

The first chapter in my book introduced sisters, Cassie and Claduia Fletcher as well as their parents. Fraternal twins, Claudia and Cassie are 16 years old and are on vacation with their family at Green Lake. In the first chapter Cassie and Claudia were just about to have breakfast when their mother notices that they're about to recieve a visitor. Someone is canoeing their way towards their house. The person who was canoeing turns out to be TJ Howards, a Green Lake neighbor. Tj introduces himself and tells the Fletchers about him and his family. He also invites the family to his family's party on July 4th. He mentions after that, that he works at the Green Lake store and he is already running late so he must go. When the girls, Cassie and Claudia see that TJ is nowhere near and clearly out of hearing distance, they start discussing what they think of him. They come to an agreement that he is very cute and scores a nine on a richter scale from 1-10. Mrs. Fletcher, their mother, also says she thinks TJ is a lovely boy.

LOVE TIMES TWO;

I just barely started reading the book and so far it's about two sisters that go on vacation and end up falling for the same boy apparently. I read the back of the book and it says that Claudia and Cassie, the two sisters, vacation with their family at Green Lake and start liking the same boy, TJ. It also says that the sisters have always been as close as sisters can be. However, will their so-called love for TJ distance them from one another if one of them wins TJ's love?
